Interview with Art Whore

I havent updated this blog since last Halloween, so this one's gonna be my first post in 2014. I just done an interview with Art Whore (art/toy blog from Australia) earlier this month, you can check the article here. The website's look has a major update, with the header artwork (and Darkthrone ripoff logo) done by me.

In another news, last January 5th also marked 1 year since pe•cu•liar started, it was also supposed to be my mom's 59th birthday. New toy release coming soon, info will be updated on this blog later!

Euranth One Off Custom

Euranth has travelled across Winnipeg and California to get this ill kaiju vibe treat from Monsterfoot Creations and Blockheads Toys, they have done a great paint job collaboration! This one off custom was up for auction on @blockheadstoys instagram account and SOLD, all proceeds go to Garrett's (of Blockheads Toys) friend who recently diagnosed with Cancer. FIGHT CANCER!

Euranth First Release!

"Euranth is the god of nature, keeper of the forests. It dwells inside the darkest forest of Skard, a forest which never located on any existed map. Once was shaped as (one eyed) white flower, symbolizing the sacred of nature. But as the hearts of Men filled with greed, damaging the nature, it started to bleed. It feels the pain, its wrath provokes natural disaster."

About the first release:
• Limited to 10, including 2 white blanks (that were up for pre-order before & currently sold out!) and 8 original painted versions (available to order now).
• Blanks are $80 each, original painted versions are $85 each (price including worldwide shipping).
• For those who interested to score one, please send an e-mail to peculiaris13@gmail.com with the subject title "Euranth painted version". Do also state your name + full address & country, payment made by paypal for overseas costumers.

Euranth will come with a hand numbered header card, and a portion of proceeds from sales will be donated to a local nature preservation organization.

Euranth's First Batch: Done!

After a few weeks finally Euranth's first batch is done, there will be 2 blanks and 8 painted versions (4 gloss, 4 semi-gloss). The blanks are up for pre-order at peculiaris13@gmail.com (one down, one more to go!), since I need to pay for the header cards and the packaging boxes. The pictures below dont do justice but you get the idea, I will have a better shot before its release date.

Screen Printed Backpatch

Regarding my previous post, I tried to screen print a backpatch and the result is quite good - considering I havent done this for ages. Anyway pre-order (for Euranth blanks only) and first 3 regular order will get free patches, (backpatch or small patch? just wait and see!).

Custom Jacket

Finally done customizing my own jacket, if you happen to see someone with this jacket just say hello! Anyway I'm thinking to make screen printed patches to be included on Euranth's first batch, but havent decided yet if its going to be small patch or backpatch. Thoughts?

Painted Prototype

Resin Prototype

The prototype finally revealed, after 4 weeks of sculpting (on clay) now the prototype has been made to resin. Next stage is making the mold, and then painting the figure.

pe•cu•liar is an indie toy company based in Jakarta - Indonesia, inspired by everything strange such as kaiju, myth, legend, surrealism and outsider art. Right now we are working on our first figure Euranth, its a part of Glandastern myth (our own myth). You can safely say that Glandastern is some sort of our first "toy line", but we are hoping to release other figures that not related to the myth under another line.
